Use this page when your group wants the island Train, usually called the Train in achievement text and sometimes called a Monorail in community guides. The shortest current route is: reach the Blue Tower after opening the Drawbridge, bring five puzzle rewards to its console, take and shape the key through the indicated cutters, then use the key at the main station.

What is confirmed: Steam lists Big Ride with the condition “Ride the train.”

What is not yet confirmed in our own sessions: the exact Blue Tower location, whether any five rewards always work, the cutter count, the Train/Monorail UI label, train colors, stop control, and recovery after a missed departure. The steps below are a clearly labelled community-backed route, not a claim of first-hand verification.

Before you start

You need access to the main island, so lower the Drawbridge before trying to find the Blue Tower. Bring at least one teammate: the nearby candidate puzzles use communication, carrying, lifting, or visual guidance. Do not begin by hunting for a fixed set of puzzle answers. Community sources say the tower accepts rewards from any five completed puzzles, but this substitution rule is awaiting an in-game check.

If your actual problem is “where are we?”, open the map first. If you are unsure whether the Train is your next useful unlock, return to the spoiler-light Walkthrough and choose based on what the group needs.

Start the Blue Tower route

1. Earn five puzzle rewards

Community guides describe five rewards as the Blue Tower threshold. Their nearby suggestions are not a mandatory checklist:

  • Turnstile House: describe symbols through a wall for a teammate.
  • Locked Room: wait and coordinate inside a sealed room.
  • Obstacle Course: lift and catch each other across the route.
  • Blindfolded Obstacle Course: guide a teammate by voice while their view is limited.
  • Charades Locked Room: communicate a symbol through a window.

These are role patterns, not reusable answers. Symbols, counts, and requirements can change, so tell one another what you see rather than copying a solution from a different session. If one candidate puzzle is not working for your group, a community source says another puzzle reward can replace it; record that as unverified rather than assuming the route is broken.

2. Use the Blue Tower console and prepare the key

Put the five rewards into the Blue Tower console. Community video timestamps show five console slots at 1:15 and a key pickup at 1:22. Once the key appears, take it to the next indicated key cutter and follow the arrow revealed by each completed cut.

The reports describe five cutters. Do not discard or abandon the key if the next machine is unclear: the number, route, respawn behavior, and what happens after a dropped key still need a controlled in-game test.

3. Activate the main station

Bring the shaped key to the main station and insert it at its lock. The cited short video shows this at 1:25 and activation at 1:28. A longer recorded run enters the Train chapter at 2:58:26.

The community expectation is that the transport loop becomes available after the insertion. First, stop and check that the group can see and board a train; then ride together before assuming the task is complete.

How to know it worked

There are two separate signs of success:

  1. Route feedback: community sources report that trains begin circulating after the station is activated.
  2. Platform milestone: Steam confirms Big Ride when you ride the train.

The achievement condition does not say whether every player must ride, whether every car counts, or how quickly the notification appears. If it does not trigger for one player, do not repeat the whole Blue Tower route yet. Keep the activated world available, have that player board again, and note whether the game gives any feedback. That is the lowest-risk retry while the per-player behavior is unverified.

If the group misses a departure or gets split

The published sources do not document return time, stop duration, disconnect behavior, rejoin state, or a lost-key reset. Do not turn those gaps into invented instructions. Use this practical recovery order instead:

  1. Regroup at one station. Choose a visible station landmark and wait for every player before trying again; do not send players to chase different lines based on guesswork.
  2. Check the shared objective. If no train is visible, confirm that the key was inserted at the main station before repeating a puzzle.
  3. Retry the ride before redoing activation. The only platform-confirmed requirement is to ride. A missed boarding attempt is not evidence that the Blue Tower rewards were lost.
  4. For a disconnect or world reload, preserve the state you have. Rejoin the same host world first and observe whether the station remains active. The persistence rules for this unlock are not yet sourced well enough to recommend a reset.

Community material also describes three colored trains in a continuous loop and a lever in the first car that stops it while held. Those details may help you recognise what you see, but they are still provisional. Do not rely on a color, direction, or lever timing as a required condition.

What to do after Big Ride

  • Return to the Walkthrough to choose the next regional unlock without revealing late progression.
  • Open the map to decide which destination the new transport should help you reach.
  • Open Puzzles if the next blocker is a specific puzzle rather than a route choice.

This Preview page is intentionally noindex until the Blue Tower route is replayed on a fixed game version with successful, missed, disconnected, and rejoined cases recorded. You can report a different outcome through our editorial policy.
